WEDDING DJ

Ceremony through last dance — every set mixed live for your reception, not pulled from a playlist

Wedding Reception North Georgia · 2025
"The dance floor was packed from 8pm until midnight. That doesn't happen with a playlist."

Your Reception.
Mixed Live.
All Night.

Most wedding DJs in North Georgia build a playlist before your reception and press play. You pay for a DJ and get a laptop babysitter. Brickhouse DJ is a live-mixing wedding DJ — watching your dance floor in real time, reading who's dancing and who's sitting, and adjusting the music on the spot. Your grandmother and your college roommate both end up on the floor. That doesn't happen with a Spotify queue.

As a wedding reception DJ, Brickhouse handles five distinct moments — each with its own energy. The ceremony music — intimate, emotional, timed to your coordinator's cues. The cocktail hour — light, conversational, nobody notices the music but everyone feels relaxed. Dinner — ambient, elegant, never competing with conversation. The reception — first dance, parent dances, and then the dance floor opens and stays packed. The last dance — the song that sends your guests home with tears and smiles.

After your inquiry, you receive a wedding music request form: must-plays, do-not-plays, genre preferences, first dance song, parent dance songs, and special moment music. Your list shapes the foundation. The dance floor shapes everything else.

Destination wedding DJ services available. A travel fee applies in addition to the service fee for weddings outside the North Georgia area — Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Helen, Ellijay, and beyond.

01

Ceremony

Processional, recessional, and everything between. Timed to your coordinator's cues. The emotional foundation of the night.

02

Cocktail Hour

Light, warm, conversational. Sets the tone while your guests settle in. Nobody notices the music — they just feel relaxed. That's the point.

03

Dinner

Ambient, elegant, never competing with conversation. The energy builds gradually — by the time plates clear, people are ready to move.

04

Reception

This is the night. First dance, parent dances, bouquet toss, and then the dance floor opens. Brickhouse reads the room and keeps it packed until the last song.

How far in advance should I hire a wedding DJ?

6–12 months. North Georgia wedding weekends fill fast — 40 weddings in 2025 means most Saturdays are taken early. The sooner you check availability, the more likely your date is open.

Can I request specific songs?

After your inquiry you get a detailed request form: must-plays, do-not-plays, genre preferences, first dance, parent dances, and special moments. Your list is built into the set.

Do you handle ceremony music too?

Yes. Processional, recessional, and any music during the ceremony. Timed to your coordinator's cues — no awkward gaps, no cut-off songs.

What equipment shows up?

Pioneer CDJ-3000s, DJM-A9 mixer, professional PA system. Lighting packages available. Tell me your venue size and guest count for a custom setup recommendation.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes. A travel fee applies in addition to the service fee for events outside North Georgia. Same live mixing, same attention to your guests — different zip code.

What's the difference between a live-mixing wedding DJ and a playlist DJ?

A playlist DJ pre-programs your wedding music before they meet your guests. A live-mixing wedding DJ like Brickhouse reads the room — watches who's dancing, who's sitting, what's working — and adjusts the set in real time. That's why the dance floor stays packed from first dance to last song.
